Will you have outside investors or partners who only put in money? Do you plan to bid for government tenders? Will there ever be more than 20 owners?

Rule of thumb: any "Yes" points to a Pvt Ltd; all "No" and a PBC keeps it simple and cheap. We'll confirm in your quote.

Setting Up From the Diaspora

Good news: as a Zimbabwean citizen you register as a local — no foreign investment licence (ZIDA) needed.

Foreign Investment Into Zimbabwe

Do you hold Zimbabwean citizenship or permanent residence?

You qualify to register as a local — we've switched you to the simpler diaspora route above. Please complete that section instead.

Foreign investors are licensed by ZIDA (application US$577.50 + licence US$4,620, fully online). We handle the application — you'll need a business plan and proof of funds.

PRAZ charges an annual registration fee by size tier (foreign bidders US$850). Registration runs January–December.

NGO / Trust / Church / Foundation

What are you setting up? Will you receive foreign or donor funds, OR collect contributions from the public?

Under the PVO Amendment Act (2025), organisations that receive donor funds or collect public contributions MUST register as PVOs — even existing trusts. Deadlines are strict; we'll include PVO registration in your quote.
